History of the building

The Sawnee Mountain Preserve Building was constructed in 2006 with three ideas in mind: Conservation, Preservation, and Stewardship. All of these environmentalist concepts led to the construction of one of the most environmentally sustainable buildings in the county.
​
Purpose
The purpose of this Capstone project is to bring to attention the massive undertaking that began over ten years ago to begin the Green Building movement in Forsyth County.
